To Omaha or Bust!!!

I know it's been a long time, I've been so busy lately to the point that I had to step back and get myself together. The hubster I and decided that the best thing for our family is relocating, so we will be moving to Omaha, Nebraska at the end of June 2013. Don't get me wrong I love Chicago, it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with that said there's a very dark side to my lovely city that I'm not too proud of. Chicago is just not how it use to be, and I do not want to witness where it's going especially if it's not positive. My children deserve to be children, and sometimes I feel like I hold them hostage because of all the senseless violence.
I'm actually really excited about out move, and the kids are as well. Another awesome fact is that my sister lives there, which is great! So periodically I'll post our progression towards the move. Please if any of you have suggestions about moving out of the state please shoot me an email, I love to here your suggestions!

Long Time No See

Wow, it's been awhile eh!? Well I've been a busy bee for the past few months. I finished The French Pastry School In December, and soon after that I enrolled in Washburn Culinary Institute's (One of the oldest Culinary Schools in Chicago) Baking and Pastry Arts program in January. I'm also interning at Flour Cake and Pastry so I've been making my mark in my new career. Things are moving so fast I honestly don't know if I'm coming or going. So, enough with the school stuff let's talk about the fun stuff!

Justin turned nine years old on April 2,  Nikolas is now two years old (yes, believe it), and my little princess; an recent kindergarten grad (he he) will be six next Saturday. The kids are growing so fast it's kind of bittersweet, but hey what can you do!? I've been missing blogging and I vow to make time for it once again. I have some amazing things going on, and you all know I have no problem sharing the excitement! Alright no more sappiness let's get the fun rolling!

This is my final wedding cake, I wasn't super happy about the outcome but it was good for my first time really decorating a cake.

My team project cake, My partner did the fans, the little girl, and the japanese symbols. I did the fondant coloring, covering, and piping.

What a week!

Ugh, I had the crappiest week ever! I can come up with a million excuses, but I'd rather not it's a waste of time and space! I didn't finish my cake assignment this week and I'm disappointed in myself because I let my thinking and other frustrations get the best of me. I've learned a valuable lesson this week, and I'm going to move forward.  I have some pics of my cake topper and some other stuff...enjoy!

Sorry for the delay....

Hi, everyone I know it's been a really long time since I last dropped a line. I've been extremely busy lately since I decided to attend The French Pastry School this fall quarter! We're in our fifth week all ready, and I'm happy to say I'm progressing very well. I didn't realize how challenging and precise baking can be, but my main objective is to complete each assignment to the best of my ability. I'm being instructed by some of the best pastry chefs in the world, and I'm going to take this opportunity as seriously as possible.  I have a few pics of what I've learned so far.....

You Like?

I love my new look thanks to my sister Ryan, who by the way graduated for cosmetology school last month! She did a wonderful job on my new do, and I'm loving my new cut and my color turned out phenomenal. I have to admit I can't stay out of the mirror lol. I haven't felt this good in a long time, and I really like feeling this way. I actually felt fabulous hanging clothes today, and yesterday I actually cared about how I looked while shopping. Okay Okay enough with the blabbering check out my new do....

Fuck Love! (yeah I said it!)

Well, I've been feeling a little down lately and dealing with a lot on my plate. I was betrayed by the one person that I thought cared for me, but I guess that was a lie. I wish I can reveal the details, however I decided not too. The iron gates are back around my heart and I'm not sure if it will or can be opened again all that will come in due time. My mind is so cloudy right now and I just want to scream or throw something (not my new glasses I just bought that will suck), but you get my point.

If you are reading this can you ever forgive someone that betrayed you!? I find it absurd, yet possible. I'm usually an optimist, but even that is questionable. Life has the funniest way of giving you a swift kick in the ass, and trust me I have the foot prints on my bottom as I type!!! (hehe). I sat at Lake Michigan under a fog trying to figure out what I need to do, and I must admit that I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do, but it will come with very strict limitations.

In the mean time, I need to focus on me and the things I want and like to do. My life has revolved around so many people that I finally realized that I need to get back to me and embrace this new life that I envisioned for  myself and my children. I WILL NOT put myself in another situation like this ever again. Cheers to my new journey, whatever that may be!
